   Here is my question: Why is the history of poker important?

     Well April, the history is more of an introduction to the game. If you know a little something about the game then people won’t think of you as a fish and you will actually have something to talk about.

     Also the history comes in two forms: Past and Present

     The present history is what you experience at the table when you face opponents. You have to remember what they said and what they did in previous hands so that you can use that history against them at a later time in the game.
